Adding/Changing Your Beneficiary

What is a beneficiary?

Having an updated beneficiary means the proceeds of your plan go where you want them to in the event to your death.  If you don't name a beneficiary, the proceeds may go to your estate and could be subject to probate/estate administration taxes.

Make a change

Use the BENEFICIARY DESIGINATION FORM to designate a beneficiary or beneficiaries or appoint a trustee for a beneficiary who is a minor or lacks legal capacity.  You can complete the form and mail it to the address below. Maritime Resident Doctors does not keep your beneficiaries on file. Once your form is received and processed, your beneficiaries will be listed on your Canada Life Group Net account online.
