Exam Reimbursement
A reminder that our Collective Agreement includes exam cost reimbursement for the CFPC and Royal College exam (once per resident) up to a maximum of the cheapest of the two (13.1b ii, CLICK HERE to view). All reimbursement is handled through Medical Education at NSHA.
Reimbursement requires a copy of the official receipt and confirmation of your mailing address with meded@nshealth.ca. You can also use the Resident Travel Expense Claim Form, available on the Medical Education website.
Royal College Exam
By contract, a resident is reimbursed one time during their residency for their Royal College exam. With many Royal College exams comprised of two different parts with significant time in between, to maximize your benefit, you should wait until BOTH parts are complete and submit both receipts. If you submit the first part of the exam on its own, you will use your 'one-time reimbursement' and be ineligible for the second part of the exam.
